The Authentic Leadership Experience
October 5-6, Westlake Village

Making Accountability Work

Three of the most common problems that entrepreneurs and executives deal with are:

  • Drama

Do you find yourself wasting time dealing with the drama of employees and coworkers? A recent study found that the average employee spends 2.5 hours per day generating and dealing with emotional drama.

  • Dropped Balls

Are you regularly frustrated by people dropping balls or not getting things done on time? Delegation is difficult to do if you can’t trust your team to get things done.

  • Do It Yourself

Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of responsibility you’ve taken on? When you can’t trust that others won’t go into drama or drop balls, it often seems like you have to do it all yourself.

These are all symptoms of one core problem: you haven’t built a strong culture of positive accountability.

Building this culture is one of the most important tasks of leadership. It’s something most leaders think they should already know how to do. And yet accountability is one of the most misunderstood topics in all of business.

Creating Positive Accountability

Even for people who try to be Authentic Leaders, when it comes to accountability, they often fall back on one of two bad choices. Either they try to please their people and make them happy, or they flip to the opposite side and punish them when they fail. The problem is that pleasing enables bad behavior and punishing creates more drama.

There is a third choice: Positive Accountability.

If you’re dealing with drama rather than helping create growth, if you feel you can’t trust people because they’re dropping balls, or if you’re exhausted from trying to do it all yourself, then it is essential for you to grow a culture of Positive Accountability within your company.

At the Authentic Leadership Experience, we’re going to teach you how to do so. In just two days, you can walk away with a concrete plan and proven processes for how to create this culture for yourself and your team.

By Invitation Only

This is a small, intimate retreat that we host for our high-end clients and a handful of invited guests.

It is limited to only 15 people.

What to Expect

In these two days, you will create a concrete plan and learn the proven processes for how to implement it.

  • You’ll discover the difference between Negative Accountability and Positive Accountability, why most people get stuck in an ineffective pattern, and how to make this shift.

  • You will receive a simple but powerful Accountability Operating System – 12 agreements that you and your team members can use to implement a culture of Positive Accountability.

  • You will learn how to turn accountability into something your employees actually want to have because they understand that it is for them, rather than something they’re resisting, fighting, or fearing.

  • Once you have a proven process in place, let the fun begin. What is your vision for yourself, your team and your organization? What could you do now that you have a strong culture of Positive Accountability in place?

We’ll cover all this and more.
